First, thanks for the server to play on. It's great!

Second, I apologize for playing music b/w the rounds today. I've gotten a temp ban twice for this and you would think I could get the idea...but the thing is that I play some damn good tunes (hendrix, grandmaster flash, inna godda da vida - you've all jammed to it) and I always ask the admin if it's ok as long as I limit it to 45 seconds during the round change. The past couple of days, I was given permission from Nobody and another admin to play it, but then I was banned about 15 minutes later (I assume by another admin who just popped in or something).

Anyway, I'm not complaining, and I have no problem with the rules, and I always play on this server and don't want to lose the privileged. I would just ask that before you ban me/kick me you ask the admin on if he or she has given me permission to play some music b/w the rounds.

Yeah, I didn't ban you, it was probably another admin who came on and saw you were mic spamming.

Normally it's an instant ban offense and you and Biology always ask the team if it's ok and people are generally cool with it.

If they aren't you both always stop.

These guys are good, please lift the ban DF.

If we wanted to listen to music we'd have it playing at home, not over a cheap headset mic spamming over top of the game sounds we're trying to concentrate on.

Versed, thanks for your reply. I was just kidding about it being "good" music. I wasn't actually trying to convince you that my music is "good" for you. I thought that was clear, sorry. Second, your point is that I'm spamming over game sounds "we're trying to concentrate on" which is not true. Again, as I said before, I never do this. Third, your point about the crappy mic music quality is valid, but I'm not trying to add background music to the game in grand quality, but rather put a little victory music on the mic in a respectful and minimal way only b/w rounds and only after permission from an admin. Your post takes what I wrote out of context and implies I'm spamming during the game when people need to communicate without regard to server rules or my teammates. Finally, it's easy to mute the music if it bothers you, and I realize that I don't have the right or place to "bother" people into muting me, but try to see that in certain situations it really brings the team together and adds some fun to the game for many people on the team. I just hope we can look at this as a group of ppl who like to play together and I hope you know that if you ever hear me play music then a quick note in chat is all it takes to get me to stop b/c I'm not doing it for me - I'm doing it b/c a lot of ppl like what I do. I never, ever play music if people complain or during the actual game time or without admin permission and I think you ignored this when you replied. If your point is that I don't have the right to play music, then I get your point and I even apologized to you for it in my original post. If you ever hear my music b/w a round and it bothers you in any way, please just let me know and I will stop immediately and won't complain. Or you can get your groove on for 45 seconds and celebrate our victory over the other team

I understand what you're saying but I think a lot of what you are trying to say is just fluff.

I've been on the goldrush server many mornings where you play music not between the rounds but through out the entire map.

I've seen people ask you to stop and you ignore it. I've seen you get attitude with people (including admins) when asked to stop.

The fact of it is that it's a public server and you need to consider what everyone is thinking not just a select few.

Just because some people may like it doesn't mean everyone is going to.

You are right though if I don't like it I can simply mute you which is normally what I end up doing anyway.
