How about keep the total stat tracking on the website but reset personal HLXstats at the start of each month, that way each person could see how well they do on a month-to-month basis (or make it 2-3 months) and stat whores would have to actually go out and kill people, and not have to worry as much about *gasp* losing their precious 25 points a death.

I like that idea, reset stats quarterly and make it like ladder matches where you can "win" the quarter.

you would lose a lot of people if you reset them at all, I would petition and wait for a monthly_stat option or something.

It would be horrible to reset the stats based on the 1% of the regulars who actually visit the forums.
