You'll be fine because the trade was all in-game. Either you get to keep the hat, or they'll reverse the trade in which case you'll get your buds back!

Do you really think Valve is gonna delete the dupes, have they in the past, fuck no. To much work, so deal with it and enjoy your hat.

They've deleted tens of thousands of idler items.
I wouldn't put it past them to delete dupes since most of them were made through packet injecting. (which still works if you know what you're doing, they're too inept to figure out something that was fixed in ragnarok online some five years ago)
