Despite being the biggest cash based trading site and being a different platform than outpost and the likes the old forum platforum was obsolete and unprofessional that's not an opinion, that's a fact, I own and admin some big forums and I worked with similar platforms way back in 2002-2003, the forums were asking for a revamp for years. This is the best that could have happened. Just because it's older doens't mean it's better, that's a big logic flaw. You will get used to it and you will eventually like this forum more, you just don't atm because you were so used to the other platform and have to relearn some things.

Define "professional", I have never seen a "professional" forum due to the fact that all forums look the same. Also if you're really adding professionalism to TF2, nice fallacy to logic.
As for older objects, they are better, if you love convenience as a sin. (take example my old Nokia phone, easier to use with a simple interface compared to my new Galaxy SIII)

Yea sourceop 2 theme looks way better with the side borders. Should be default IMO

Also against the like/dislike button. Pointless for this type of forum really

Maybe I'm the only one but on my 21.5" the default template is fine. Not a big fan of empty border space.

My suggestion would be to make the one everyone likes the default template but leave the SourceOp as full width available for users with a setup that can take advantage of it.

Changing gears. I keep getting the message to link my Steam account. Already done but the wording of the error message would lead me to believe that the forum doesn't think so? Anyone else getting that error even though they linked their account?

Irish yea I just pressed the big X and it disappeared lol.

I guess the default template was fine for lower res, different strokes for different folks.
