while stickies are often overused, they are still by far the best way of getting kills, even among pros:

@glouch id have to say its more situational than anything. pipes are gonna net you quicker kills, because there's much less of a delay between firing and damage dealing, and between individual projectiles
it's much like you would use a rocket to take down a heavy, but (typically) the shotgun to kill a scout

I like shotguning heavies if they don't know I'm there because getting shot with a rocket launcher makes them turn around much faster even though they do around the same damage at point blank range.

Dude one scrim we did on Gpit I was swatting people left and right that were trying to jump up onto B. Airshots are so satisfying.
