I came on today to find that source op has disabled custom textures and models.
Now I have every body showing up as white mesh frames as my custom models are being rejected by the server now.
It is really annoying as I use my custom textures models due to the fact im partially color blind and the only way I can play normal is with my custom textures and models that help me to be able to tell one team from another or not have people blurring into map textures.
Im just wondering is this going to be a perm thing or is it an error?
I dont really want to leave SP but It seems if this stays I wont have a choice.

i'm majorly colorblind, and while i can undertand the use of custom textures, why the models?

I think DF recently made a change so the servers are sv_pure 2 (or sv_pure 1 with a whitelist). Custom models, textures, and sounds can be exploited to make things like footsteps and spy uncloaking extremely audible.

Ive had my same custom model sets for nearly 2 years.
I then modified them to be best for me when playing.
Models are not the most important thing really as I will be happy to change models if textures still worked.
But im sure if models dont work nor will textures.
I just dont want to reset all my models with default ones to redo the skins so they work best for me to still be rejected.
I understand its to stop wall hacking and glitching sounds and stuff to be able to cheat but it seems a pain to make the rest of us lost are changes just because of a random select bunch of idoits who abuse.
More so when these randoms will continue to find other ways to abuse the game

I changed goldrush server to sv_pure 1 if that's what you mean. I also noticed the other servers that had pure got reset to default whitelist and fixed that. custom textures are bad mkay? Can be used to wallhack.

Custom textures are needed for us color blind dudes.
But as I said I fully understood why it was done but again as i stated also.
If you dont ask you dont know and if it is an error unless some one posts about it how will you know.

If you have specific files you want to customize that you don't think could be customized to also help wallhack, post the paths here and I can whitelist them.

Could this also be allowed for custom particle sets that disable blood sprites, rocket trails and bullet tracers? My computer is older than some sourceop players, and I used to get a 20 fps increase from disabling these things. Sometimes the difference is even greater if there are a lot of spamming heavies on.

List the relative path of specific files you want to customize.
