My account was just disabled out of nowhere, I can't explain how terrible this is (I've had some weird stuff going on since I've been infected by some malware/adware) and I was wondering if my stuff will ever be returned? Is it possible, does Steam un-disable accounts? Has my TF2 item data been delted?

just curious, did you do a lot of tf2 trading for actual cash? Maybe that was it

There is nothing in the ToS against trading for cash. If there was it would be like blizzard selling fucking gold themselves and banning anyone who did it with a third party.

No, but I did have a server wide virus that was redirecting my browsers and fucking with my Steam files. I had every weapon and had just bought L4D2 as well... Cry

I sent a message to Steam Support and they said they were "Looking into it," but since they don't have phone support I fear they can easily just ignore me.

I just tried purchasing Left 4 Dead 2 on my other account because of the sale and apparently the credit card was "denied" this leads me to believe a chargeback occured ( :oops: ) Is this grounds for permanent disabling, or can I retrieve my account?

Yes. But I still don't understand if disabling is supposed to be a severe/permanent punishment or just a precaution.

It's not permanent, if the credit card had issues you will probably get your account back just by paying for the games you used it for.
