I have yet to try real Irish Guiness, but if you want something thick and creamy...Mackeson Triple XXX Stout.
Also, Young's makes a good double chocolate stout and a St. Louis local brewery, Schlafly, makes an excellent Oatmeal Stout.
My favorite stout at the moment is Old Rasputin Imperial Stout...not for the faint of heart.

There's a local pub that has 132 beers, 30 of which are draught. Drink 'em all and you get a 22oz. pewter stein. I'm about to qualify for my second mug. They rotate some brews every 6 months.
If any of you come through St. Louis, I'll gladly buy a round or two.
I've lost count, but I must be somewhere around 300+ different brands of beer.

I used to homebrew, and plan on doing a little more this summer at a friends. Personal favorite beer is a porter one of my buddys homebrews something about home grown hops just has a better taste.
