Hey guys, I just recently got banned from the SourceOp 24/7 2Fort server for "Permanently banned: Cheating: cam_idealyaw set to -2.708466"
I've been a player for four years on the server, I've donated several times (enough to have a reserved slot, though that seems to have run out?), and I've never cheated before. But obviously, everyone is going to say that.
I have a feeling I know what the issue was. I was running a local listen server to try and see the decal I recently put on my Conscientious Objector in thirdperson. I had set thirdperson_platformer 1 and turned on thirdperosn_mayamode. I didn't think to change either of these items, and when I got into the game and did the Conga Line gesture, my camera freaked out. I typed into the console "thirdperson mayamode" to try and turn it off, and received the result "Can't use cheat command thirdperson in multiplayer, unless the server has sv_cheats set to 1." About 3 seconds later, I was banned for the aformentioned reason. Most likely something to do with the viewpoint things that carried over between servers? Is there any way to get this ban lifted?
