hey. So I joined the Goldrush server this morning only to see balloons flying out of people and confetti everywhere when they explode. I have never played in a party mod server nor any other mod servers. I've only ever played on source op servers. I've tried defragging my game cache and reinstalling tf2 but the balloons remain. Anyone know whats up or how to fix it?

The only thing I can think of that I did was installing 2 hl2 mods (coastline to atmosphere and strider mountain).

I tried posting on the steam forums but it says I am neither allowed to make a new thread, nor reply to an existing one. Good job steam!

I just ran into about 4 other people on the server that see balloons too.

But I didn't see any balloons on the arena server earlier... Weird.

If it wasn't just you that saw it then yea, it musta been valve or Drunken F00l (sourceop owner)

It's a server cvar (tf_birthday) that replaces the normal gibs with 'funny gibs'.
It's just basically a party mode that the server owner (or apparently valve) can enable.
