I imagine it's because they don't really want outgoing crits disabled, only incoming.

The Pro rotation server has some of my least favorite maps. I'm not a fan of linear 5-point push maps and never have been. In my opinion, it's the rotation and really has nothing to do with the crits being disabled. Also the people that enjoy that setup the most are probably playing 6v6 pick up games, not a 24 slot pub with a similar setup.
On the arena server, random crits makes a huge difference because you don't respawn in 10-20 seconds. You sit there dead for a couple of minutes or more thinking to yourself how much bullshit that crit was. It really pulls me out of the game.
And I'll be one of the first to admit how lame crits are in arena even when they come from me. Someone might say "that was bs" and I will whole heartedly agree with them.

I try to get people there, but no ones ever seems to want to go.
And yes, most people end up scrimming or pugging instead of going there. It is nice when people actually do play there.
As far as the rotation, push maps really benefit from less people. Anything more than 6v6 just changes the dynamic so much that it stagnates the playing style.

Can't blame it on me, I play on the arena server.
Back to the topic at hand... Can we at least try turning the crits off for a week or something. It's not going to kill the server. lol

I'm usually willing to play there. Once you get 4-5 people it fills up pretty fast.
