It's not for profit. It's to pay server. When I make more in donations than the servers cost, I get more servers.

well yeah, and the more you make, the more servers there are, but for the time bing maybe you should think about filling the servers you have
and i think you should make the new valve maps server an instant spawn server
as for the jetpack, people seem to like the jet pack, but the server is always empty? fix that and our problem is solved, i think we should force kaylee to play it and invite her 100+ friends to join

Those servers are new and unstable. It's hard to get new servers popular.

If you connect via console and get "Server is full," that means that the server doesn't recognize that you have a reserved slot. I have investigated a little more and it's because your donation of three dollars does not meet the minimum for a reserved slot.
Yea we pretty much cleared this up on Steam chat. Thanks again
But as for increasing donations, i guess i'm not the fondest of them imo. I never have been the "pay the bill" type of guy. I like to know if a buy a game that's it, i have it for life and don't have to commit to 20 dollars per month like WoW players and noticed after 2 years time i spent 250+ dollars in playing one video game when i could have bought GTA4 for the PS3 and it would have only cost me 60 bucks with unlimited online play. I do understand how much it does cost to run a server and it's not cheap at all (trust me i own 2 currently). But i'm not sure if a monthly fee would be the right thing unless it was a cheap 5 bucks a month (cause when you think of it in times the number of people, it hopefully would be enough to cover the server costs). But if anything, i like a one shot deal where i pay a certain amount and i'm good for a full 6 months, 12 months or ever better, for life. I wouldn't mind donating around 50 bucks for a reserved slot for life, but that's just my take on it.
For now i say whatever DF feels is absolutely nessessary for the server should be done.

It would be something like $5 per month.

Have you considered setting up an exact copy of your Valve Maps no mods no bs server with an automatic redirect? Hear me out, it may or may not be a good idea.
Set 1 slot to never be playable, then when people see an empty slot they join the server to be reconnected to the alternate server. Its a little subversive and might discourage a few people but after time people will add both servers to their favorites.
Just an idea.
--edit--
Once the alt server is up and running and as popular as your other servers the locked slot could be done away with.

I'm not sure about this, it would separate the regulars imo.

I have thought about this, but it's not automatically possible. It might be possible if the first valve maps server was running linux.
You can ask people to connect to a different server though with a little window and then they can chose to accept.
