I was on the instant respawn TF2 2fort server. I used my mic and someone said it had feedback and to shut up. Then they vote kicked me for having a mic with bad feedback? how is that fair. i am a donating member too. wonderful.

If you were vote kicked it only lasts until the map changes, so you should be unbanned by now.

Fix your mic or stop using it... when input volume is too high, it'll mute all the game sounds whenever you talk or make loud annoying sounds. Their response was appropriate. There is a button in the options to test your mic so you can see what it sounds like, or you can also use voice_loopback 1 within the game to hear an echo of what you say.

should help you adjust your settings, a basic trick/rule is you dont want your system input or game input at 100%... 80/80 should be good, less is more at times
