What is the time limit for the kick when someone is votekicked?

I thought it was just for the session as I have seen people try to relog to get around it but someone was votekicked (not admin kicked or banned) from the Goldrush server yesterday and he claims he couldn't get back on for "a while".

I asked how long he couldn't log on and he said "a couple hours, maybe" so then I thought maybe it kicked him until the map changed but this doesn't coincide with other people I've seen get kicked and then return.

The person in question isn't complaining; I'm just asking for my own knowledge.

The kick is just a kick. No ban involved, though I've thought about making it a 1-5 minute ban or something so they can't immediately reconnect.

The player probably meant that he or she couldn't get back on since it was constantly full.

cool, that's what I told him; that to my knowledge the votekick was only for the session and if he couldn't get back on, it was for another reason. Just wanted to make sure what I was saying was in fact, true.
