    us economic crises?

hey there! as you have no doubt noticed, the US economy is struggling under it's own dead weight lately.

at first i was very confident that our leaders could pull us out of this.. and the doomsayers were just fundies using fear tactics...

but the dow fell 600 points by closing yesterday.. and its already down 400 points today (its still morning in wall street) it's about to dip below 8000.

what happens when it hits 0? at this rate it will be there by next weekend.

It went below 8000 in 2002 and we did fine. I dunno. I'm not going to pretend like I know what's going on and know all the economics.

yeah i dont profess to be an economist. i have only a slight understanding of free-market economics, and US's wallstreet on the global economy....

but it's still scaring the hell out of me

(dow has been hovering around 8000 for the past few hours, +/- 150 points, this is down from 10,000 just 3 days prior)

And life will be difficult for some for 18-24 months. Then, the economy will recover. And people will carry on as before. Think early 1980's/early 1990's. People/businesses went bankrupt, lost their homes, etc etc. All part of the economic cycle. Just cut down on the spending for a while until the rebound hits.
