Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

The high anticipated game, the one that made everyone cream their jeans, the new Metal Gear game. The first trailer of Metal Gear Solid: Rising made everyone want to play the game, you can see the trailer here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtM3PGyiQUc.

It was simply amazing, guards had guns, it took 1 hit to kill any soldier, you can chop basically anything, you had a REAL sword... Well, on December 10th 2011, VGA announced a new trailer for the game, let's watch it!

let's count all the bad things about this game:
1) The game entirely breaks the atmosphere for the Metal Gear series, no way in hell can Raiden deflect a whole Metal Gear Ray arm.
2) The graphics are god awful, before, the colors were darker, gridier, the atmosphere was melancholy. It now looks way too cartoony, everything is so shiny.
3) Why the HELL is every guard carrying a sword? If I'm not mistaken, I thought only Grey Fox and Raiden used swords throughout the whole series.
4) What happened to Vamp? How come they replaced him with a gay, Spanish version of him?
5) It now takes 10.000 CHOPS to kill a basic guard, what the hell is that?!
6) What happened to Raiden's old suit? In MGS4 He had a mesh fleshy cyborg suit, very cool and fitting for the world, now he's a complete robot! And a stupid eye patch to finish his stupid look!
7) The writing makes me wanna puke, Raiden seriously says "Let's have some fun!"?!
8) Why would Konami change the name? Before it was "Metal Gear Solid: Rising", now it's "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance"... Revenge with a vengeance! What the hell name is Revengeance? It isn't even a WORD! It sounds like a 4 yr old made up that word and thought it was clever.

I can honestly say, I'm very disappointed, I was so stoked and happy to play the new MGS game, but this shit happened. I love the entire MGS series, and it looks like they're attracting it more towards kids. This is a huge low blow to their fan base.

It could honestly be Hidao Kojima trolling us again, but seriously, what the f*ck Konami?

Who else is waiting to play Assassin's Creed 3?

Assassin's Creed is a horrible series.

1: I know you can't be realistic when you implement nanytes, but a single blade cannot deflect a couple 'tons' of metal.

2: If it's not grimdark, it's not a metal gear game, they've always been Grimdark.

3: Konami is just being lazy when all guards use swords, they could've made it really good. Look at the end of MGS2, Raiden was killing Arsenal Tengos with his sword, and each and every one of them had a P90, it was a very good part of the game. Everyone using a sword is just silly!

4: I mean 'gay' in the figurative sense, as in he's just plain lame, all that Spanish guy says is stupid cliches.

5: In MGS4, it was quite realistic on how much bullets it took to kill someone, you have to factor in the armor they were wearing. So no, it didn't take "entire" clips to kill someone.

6: That's where you're wrong, the game takes place between before MGS4 and during MGS4.

7: Never once in MGS4 or MGS2 did Raiden say shit like that, and he killed many people.

So the entire series is about clones and fucking sorcerers and you're mad that a robot got blocked by a ninja, who is also a robot, and that it doesn't take place on a fifth oil rig?

Also metal gear SOLID was a tactical series, where the darker and more realistic setting made sense to set the mood. RISING Is a high-energy action game where the more vibrant settings will set a different mood accordingly to the genre.

And yeah, I agree about the ass-assins creed series. PARRY ENEMIES ONE BY ONE TO WIN GAME. Because it's totally worth being stealthy when you can just kick the shit out of 50 guards at once on the hardest difficulty by spamming one button.

How do you know a cyborg can't do that? Have you ever seen a cyborg before? How do you know the giant robot weighs a couple tons? What if it was made of aluminum alloy?

now theres this new spin off that has completely different gameplay, so they changed the title to fit it better


i dont know what you're crying about. it looks like devil may cry set in a metalgear world. if youve ever played devil may cry you know its supposed to be mindless over the top action and i think this fits pretty well.

i mean why else woudl they be using swords when theres options like guns available. and dont tell me that its because tehir armor is completely bulletproof, because if that was the case no one would be able to cut through it with a fuckign sword either.

That's the point, the MG series has always had a mystical feel about them, like they were unlike any other game, they had a great story, amazing gameplay, good writing, and the cutting edge of graphics.
Now it seems they're just trying to make more money, than trying to tell an amazing story.

That's strange, if you look at the video's comments, they have the same opinion about it being terrible.

I've asked all my friends that like MGS, they say it's horrid now.
