when is tf2tp gonna fucking fix it's issue that you cant search more than one item at a time. also, they wont even let you search item statuses (i.e, unusual, genuine, vintage) in the "wishlist contains" box. its fucking pissing me off because since that fucking update with all the hats, this has been like this. its been really hard for me to search if anybody wants an unusual of a hat so i have to keep on putting buds in the "offers" and the hat i have in the "wish list". i dont even know if people might offer unusuals for my hat because i dont have the time to search every single hat they have in tf2. tf2tp people have been slacking off because i dont think that it takes more than a month to fix an error issue. it took them 2 weeks to fix the uncraftable issue, but it still taking them a month+ to fix a stinking error that they caused in the first place.

TF2TP can't fix its problem because IT IS a problem.
Pretty much TF2 Outpost is TF2TP 2.0

The search feature is broken yes, most of the delay is due to TF2TP being re-written from the ground up. It's been decided that until the site is done being overhauled time is better spent adding features and fixing bugs on the new version. Apologies for any inconvenience. Not too far off we plan on rolling out a completely re-written site with some new features, everything should be streamlined quite nicely.
Tf2outpost's search feature works wonderfully, Sneeza did a really nice job setting the whole site up. I would suggest giving them a try as well.

Good to hear there's going to be an overhaul. Any tidbits on what the issue was with the search feature? DB needed some performance tuning/new schema?

There were a few things that were bad about the way it was set up. Make a long story short every individual search would eat up far more resources than they should have been. So when you had 100 people all doing searches at the same time it would wreck our setup. (unfortunately it wasn't uncommon to have 200+ running searches at the same time, resulting in the massive site slowdowns everybody used to hate so much)
The single searches while not optimal would at least not cause the same degree of issues that popped up with the old search options, so we left that up while we overhaul the site.
We're sorry that it's so annoying in the meantime. Trust me, I can sympathize (wanted to run searches I was unable to 3 times just yesterday...). Everything will be back in action not to long from now.
But as I said before,
tf2outpost.com is a great site, and if there is anything we're lacking.. They've probably made up for it. Sneeza has done an excellent job, and their staff is great.
