Eh, gtx 560's are only like 40$ more with rebate season and all.

You can get a 560 Ti for another 60$ than the 6850, but EVGA's are pricey so if you want that mentioned warrantee you'll be paying another 90$ (compared to the 6850).

I would still probably still go for it if it was my decision. Effectively you are getting two cards and the 560 TI is a fucking beast that you will want to prolong the life of.
Ultimately how you spend your hard earned cash is up to you but the options are there.

Personally I'd go for the 560ti as well, I say this as a friend of mine has one and he has only positive things to say about the card. Over the years I've always chosen NVidia over ATI/AMD as nvidia's drivers were superior to that of ATI's. However, as of late, AMD's drivers have improved slightly although I still prefer NVidia over AMD by default.

In that case can anyone help me with a link to a GTX 560 TI that's less than $230, and then I think I've got all but the OS figured out.

Edit: ah, I see the rebates on some of them like this. Are there any major differences in what each manufacturer provides? Such as more power or cooler running? Would it be better to go with one such as EVGA for anything other than the lifetime warranty?

You should totally ad an xtracpads mouse pad to your gaming rig too. They're the best mouse pads on Earth. I use this one...

    LINK

It's the #1 pad on NewEgg! Also, I went with an nvidia 570 rather than a 560 video card. Some review sites say the 560 is so-so and for a few bucks more the 570 owns.

His budget is maxxed out with a 560ti so a 570 is overboard.

Yup, thanks for the input but the 560 ti looks like it'll work perfectly for what i'm doing.

rig looking good, imo buy a ssd drive now and re-use your old harddrive for storage assuming you have one until the prices go down abit I'm not sure about prices over there but here a WD 1tb is about the same price as the 60gb OCZ agility.
