25 hours in and I barely touched the main story line. I'm all about the side quests. Just got the ghost sword from some cave. It's pretty bad ass against armored enemies. Ran into a few glitches here and there but nothing major. So far this is looking like the best rpg I've played.

Are you stupid? Leather bracers are 10x easier to make.

Do what snarf says to get your smithing up. Then get the elvish bow and upgrade it with moonstones. Make sure you don't enchant it until after a few upgrades first. For the best bow in the game, you will have to get 100 smith and get the Deidric bow. Saw a how to video on youtube but I'm not there yet with my smithing levels. Still at 63.

I spent an hour around Whiterun today just mining iron ore and selling it because I had no idea how to turn it into ingots. I am now sad.

If you want to both make money and increase Smithing (and Alteration), get the Transmute spell. Buy Iron Ore, turn it into Silver Ore using Magicka only, and turn that into Gold Ore. Smelt it and make Gold Rings. Voilà.

I'm pretty sure pelts are free if you spend any amount of time out in the wilderness killing things.

Also you forget to factor in the cost of leather strips, when you do so do you know how much your shitty daggers cost? Over 20 gold. Stop trying to be jewish Snarf you don't even know how to compare the cost of things.

No they still only cost 15 gold. Which is still less than your stupid bracers and I don't have to grind in a single player game to get mine. And I can buy mine and get what is essentially free levels whenever I go back to my house to sell shit with very little extra effort on my part.
