Your parents have to pay taxes on it because it's a source of income. They also need to pay taxes on any transaction over 1200$, and state sales tax if they're in the same state.

Also mind your tongue less they realize that in the united states they control 100% of your assets because minors have no rights.

That being said the IRS isn't aware of the TF2 market and this probably won't be an issue at all.

It might be completely different in Canada compared to the USA.
I'd suggest looking up self employment laws and anything Paypal has listed. Another thing you could try is looking up help related to Ebay related documentation of businesses in Canada. Making money off Ebay is really close to trading for cash on TF2.

By the way if you think you want to continue this you should talk with your parents or legal guardians. Paypal and the Canadian tax body (IRS equivalent) most likely see your legal caregivers responsible for all this money made.

Probably changes a lot. I have no clue about Canadian tax laws, I would talk to an accountant if you wanted to be sure as this forum is in no way an authority on accounting and financial info is something you want to take seriously.

Once again this is based on my knowledge of the American IRS, if Canada's equivalent isn't scary as all shit you might get away with not taking it seriously.

The Canadian Custom and Revenue Agency(CCRA) employs more people then the Canadian military. And yes, they actively seek to tax people who generate income off of sites like eBay. I >THINK< if you make more then $1000 in a year off of eBay, the CCRA wants to know about it(or else).

Statistically the American IRS has a higher catch and prosecution rate than any standing law agency...
