I had a Peace Fro on tf2op, stating that a friend offered 3 buds (it was originally his hat, but he wants it back. He doesn't have the buds yet.) When I mention the 3 buds price to 2 other guys interested in the hat, they said they would be interested in paying 3 buds. Some guy tries to call bullshit, he ends up proving nothing but keeps raging. Then some guy offers a Max Head + sweets and he hides the post/thread.
Classy.
I have had the luxury to sell two Peace Sign Soldier's Stashes.
Sold the first for 8.5 the second for 16.5
The amount of people coming out of the woodwork claiming that my offers were false or insulting my buyout was insane.
PS my buyout wasn't 16.5, it was 10 buds. I got the 16.5 offer after I took it off the market.
The other trading related thing that has been bugging me recently is people that scream "Take that and run" when you get a decent offer.
Recently I was selling one of the Halloween effects on a good hat for a friend who doesn't trade. I received an offer of a pretty decent hat that I could sell for $300. I thought it was a pretty good offer, but I wasn't sure as the new Halloween hats don't really have a set value. So I thought I would bump it a few more times and get some more offers.
Upon listing my newest offer I got a bunch of jerks telling me to take the offer and "run to the hills"
Now personally I don't mind receiving advice, but in a public selling forum their advice is telling anyone who may be thinking of beating the c/o that the c/o is worth more than my hat.
When I asked them not to do this on my thread, I was called out for faking the offer and I had to go take screen shots on tf2 tp.
