hey guys im having a bit of trouble maybe drunken or someon can help, i am having difficulty editing hlstatsx on my server to show your statistical changes for everything you do from killing people to control point capturing to everything else.

i did get it to show when you capture intelligence but itnsted of the way it show on sourceop servers it puts Console in front of it as if the game is talking thru the console, if that makes sense.

also to you drunken how do you edit the points system for hlstatsx? if its even possible.

I pay for HLStatsX Premium. They have a web interface for setting all of that up. I've never messed with the config files.

This forum would be a better bet, there is the sql for TF2 there. It seems to do it all, however I don't own a TF2 server yet, but this seems to work looking at the others.

Yea, hlstatsx premium is the way to go. That's what we use also.

Biggs, I have 3 servers, thats an extra 10 euros (7 pounds) 14 dollars, I pay 6.99 a month for my hosting you do the math. I run my own stats, with the mods (currently not installed a few.) You can get the same effect. Please note these stats are newly installed.

We have 3 servers also. I see what you're saying about the extra dough, but you can do like DF and set up a donations/reserved slot system or you can set up a clan admin system where you pay a monthly fee for admin on the servers to counter the costs of operation. Or both. If you're servers are decent, you'd be surprised how many contributions you might receive.
All I was saying is that hlstatsx premium is worth the few extra dollars we pay for them.
With premium you're also added to the official serverlist/global stats. Not to mention we haven't had to touch the stats since they were set up. Support has been great.

I was on HLSTATSX premium, I found them to be OK, but considering I don't like paying and I don't mind setting them up manually or editing source code. I found no need for them, being on another list isn't really necessary as my clan is known by most low gravity communities in HL2DM. My servers are well played, I am already on gametracker and gamemointer, I don't really need to be on another list. I also do not wish for people to buy admin, as that goes against our clan setup, reserved slots are not used, if you can't get on play one of our other servers we have 5 of them (3 ranked). I already have my donation system online, and we get donations, but we don't use them for non essential things, we'll prefer to get another server.

I spend enough of my spare time keeping the servers/mods/plugins up to date and playing on them. I guess we'd rather pay a little extra just to not have to deal with that much more.

But everyone has their own preferences and financial situation, so I don't blame you one bit for dropping premium being that you have the wherewithal to setup/maintain the stats yourself.

I wouldn't call you lazy . I find that I spend at least 10% of my time setting the servers up 70% of my time doing other things, 20% playing. I enjoy doing it, because if you make a mistake its your own doing, you also learn new things, which makes it a good experiance. Try running your own stats for a bit, (you can still send logs to it from another address) If it doesnt work out then stick with premium.

ya i have hlstatsx premium im having trouble getting the server to post in game when you things, like kill someone, pickup the intel , capture a control point all those things, it is tracking it but i cant get it to show the player in game that did said thing to show them.

i did change was Broadcast Playerevents from its default which i cant recall what it was set too but i am running sourcemod, to just regular say, an after that it did tell me as the player that i gained 2 points for capuring the intel, which i dont believe is right because its 50 points on sourceop.

but it didnt tell me anything of killing someone or even picking up the intel and when it did tell me that, it told me with Console typed in front of it as if an admin were talking thru console like drunken does when he is connected thru his admin console i believe it says Admin or something in front of his name

P.S. i did receive a reply from hlstatsx on a support ticket, they say the Hlstatsx ingame plugin is installed to check there information section to get it installed, i didnt see anything on how to do that but ill check again.
