The monitor and stuff are important too. Get a 120hz monitor and not a 60hz one. You'd be amazed by how fucking smooth the frames are. 60 fps will feel like 120 fps.

but yeah get more ram and if you want a razer mouse skipt he mamba and get a death adder.

    optical>laser

i have a (gold plated) mamba. it's a good mouse but its not worth the extra money
Death adder is not optical. But it's the best laser sensor in the world. Doesn't skip on most surfaces that I've tried (tried both hard and cloth). Almost all mice with laser sensors skip alot on cloth mouse pads and even on hard mouse pads. Most optical sensor mice don't skip but they still have negative acceleration when you move it way too fast. But the DA doesn't have negative acceleration even if you throw that shit lol.

Actually I take that back your build is rather inexpensive compared to what other people would have you do.

If you are going to get a cpu cooler but aren't going for liquid cooling get a xigmatek, they are more complex to setup and much larger but definitely worth it.

Your cpu is beastly but definitly more than you need unless you have some more hardware intensive activities planned. You could downgrade to an i5 and save about $100 if you wanted.

For $100 that corsair is overpriced especially since it is not modular and only has one 12v rail. I am unsure if kingwin is a reliable brand but this is an incredible deal if so http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817121068

Mouse choice is strictly a matter of preference pick the mouse you like that has the features you enjoy both companies produce good enthusiast mouses.

You must also realise that he is from Australia, last time I checked the prices for computer parts are quite abit more expensive down under than they are in the US or Europe for than matter. So, his budget can accomodate less than if he were in America.

Please correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I'm fairly certain Aussies pay more.

We definitely do, especially when it comes to physical retail shops. If anyone is looking for some great cheap components in Australia though, I would have to recommend PC Case Gear (www.pccasegear.com).

Great range, low prices, fast shipping, etc. etc. etc.

Due to people's very useful comments in this thread, I have decided to change to:

    G.Skill Ripjaws-X 8GB(2x 4GB) instead of 4GB.
Razer Death Adder instead of Mamba.

Bowst, thanks for pointing out that website, I have found some good monitors to choose from.

You honestly don't need 8gb's, you can get along just fine with 4gb's. DDR3 ram is just really cheap so it doesn't matter too much. Though if you are getting the 4gb sticks you definitely want two since you most likely have a dual channel motherboard.

Perhaps. 4gb is definitely enough for the current games on the Market and will be enough for the foreseeable future. However, I always like to have alittle headroom and that's why I bought 8gb of ram. Although with such a high budget not getting extra ram would be silly. And yes, all the p67/z68 motherboards support only dual Channel ram.

Doesn't matter if you don't intend to press 20 keys at once.
im a proud owner of the death adder. gotta say

BEST FREAKING MOUSE IN THE WHOLE FREAKING WORLD.
