Have you tried watching for more than a minute? I understand that is quite difficult with your ADD but it generally helps considering most sidescrollers do not have giant dinosaur skulls floating around in space shooting fire out of their mouth.

What I mean is that ithe gameplay is very generic, with some cutesy wutesy graphics bolted on

Okay... Even though the only thing remotely generic about it is the fact that it is a bullet hell sidescroller. There are TONS of unique mechanics it took me days to find all of the events. I fail to see how this could at all ruin the game for you, there are only so many genre's and there are games that are FAR more generic(Call of duty).
