yeah, windows 7 is expected in 2010. which is why I will never pay for another windows operating system. I don't want to waste hundreds of dollars on something that will be obsolete in a matter of 2-3 years. at least when you pay $100+ for hardware it will last for at least 5 years before being totally useless.

But if you were still on Windows 95, you would have had a major system failure by now.
hes got ya there
also every time i upgrade my rig i ususaly start from scratch, a habit a picked up back when there was a different format of ram every year, got to remeber i was building computers when i was 5
I am just saying, I upgrade my OS when I see it convenient, not when I let my shit go awry (in my experience you really have to let your shit go bad).
Like this time for instance. Every once in a while you get a program that doesn't have uninstall information, so you have to try and uninstall it manually (but it still leaves gunk in your registry). I had hundreds of programs like that from when my mom still owned this computer (the only thing left from then is was the primary hard-drive, the motherboard, the case and the power supply.) so while I was wiping everything I went ahead and got a copy of vista. (and I always start from scratch, also, there has always been a new type of ram out every year)
While other people I know reload their OS every time they get a virus or a piece of malware.

I wasn't diagreeing with you. I do agree some people are good at making their computer bad. I'm just saying by now Win 95 has so many discovered vulnerabilties you would have ran into one.
I know, I would have stuck to 98SE (98SE and 2000 are for the fucking win.)
