    You know what Manhattan needs?

More pharmacies and dry cleaners. There's obviously an untapped market here.

They just finished passing a law where only stereotypical stingy asians can run them. So that's probably why.
I was a commando you know.

No. These are all nigerians or something.

Every time they try and fuck me on a bill they start babbling to me in some sing-song gibberish and I want to buy up a Duane Reade and turn it into an alibama wind chime factory.

Then there's the homeless people who try the 'compliment the person to get a donation' but in upper east side they try way too hard and it comes across more like they're hitting on you. Unless those were actually hipsters and they were hitting on me. Because WHO IN THE FUCK CAN EVEN TELL

And then they bitch about the migratory patterns of the local geese getting disturbed after they put up a 350$ fine for honking in city limits.

I'm really glad I didn't try and come to NYC as a tourist and just do the sight seeing because this trip would be pretty garbage.

On a lighter note I love the food, and getting around is so simple that TF2Items could do it. And I've been fucking with my hotel the entire time I've been here, like making up elaborate stories for how I lost my keycard (THE MARINE FROM DOOM SHOT ME AND TOOK IT TO GET THE THE NEXT LEVEL) and I've had this AC on for so long it's now literally bleeding ice out of the front grill.

I lived in NYC most of my life. I don't give a rat's a$$ what anyone else says, it has been, and always will be, the greatest city on earth.

BTW, those awful languages are EVERYWHERE.

new york is filthy, has some of the worst politicians, is right next to new jersey, is extremely expensive, has terrible traffic problems, and is statistically one of the most unhappy cities in the world

what about it is so great?
    tall buildings? cool, i guess.
The food? You can find better food all over the country, and they wont charge you thirty dollars for three dollars worth of food. Maybe being from New Orleans has tainted me, because the food in new york was trash compared to what's here.
Lots of places to shop? You must be a girl. A man shops like this: grocery store for food when he's tired of eating the fish he's caught or the venison he's stored, gas station for gas, occasional trip to a mall to buy some clothes, and the gun store for ammo. I don't need to walk into 500 boutiques to see lace dresses and $300 jeans

maybe i'm missing something about New York. I was unimpressed.
The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the State.
