    Super mario lost levels.

So I have super mario allstars for the SNES and on a whim I decided to fire it up and play the lost levels.

And holy crap this game is hard. It's easily the hardest mario game (excluding hacked/custom levels of course) and I can understand why Nintendo was hesitant to release it to America and give us doki doki panic instead.

Has anyone else played this game? (I'm currently in world seven atm)

I remember this when I was little, I don't think I got past world 1.

While that video is impressive, I'm doing my playthrough as mario with no warp pipes because I'm hawdcore like that.

I also have no problem admitting that I have thrown my controller in frustration multiple times for losing 20+ lives on a couple of levels. (each)

If you're old school(like me), then this video will be right up your alley. Also, it help alleviate the frustrations inherit in 'challenging' video games.

Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels is actually the unreleased sequel to Super Mario Bros. that was released in Japan. Nintendo thought the game would be too difficult for US players, so they ported Doki Doki Panic

as what we know as SMB2.

I always hate it when I play super mario bros 3 with smooth movement and then I have to play super mario bros with the annoying fact that jumping is near impossible.

I did it with warp pipes but I don't think I can do it without :C

The Battle Toads race car thing was always a pain in the butt. I can't count the amount of times I threw my controller because I'd hit a freakin' wall.

That was the only game I had never played in that video. Couldn't figure out what it was.
