The war isn't illegal. We went to war with Afghanistan because they aided the Taliban in an act of war.

Iraq proceeded in aiding the Taliban and we went in and stomped their asses, too.

P.S., How legal was the Russian 'war' in Chechnya? Close to 100,000 Chechens killed, most in the largest carpet bombing raid since Dresden WWII..... How would you justify that at the ICJ??
