New PNY GeForce 250 GTS 1GB and Antec 550W

Just wanted to give you guys a little review while the parts are still fresh. I placed the order on the 2nd to Newegg, and received the parts on the 5th. I have a Inspiron 530 with a Q6600 and a 250G HDD with Win Vista. The PSU fit in perfectly. Lots of extra connectors. The fan facing the bottom made some weird noises for a few minutes, but then it cleared up. The video card posted fine, my Phoenix BIOS spotted I had one, asked me to reboot, and automatically disabled the onboard video card that I had been temporarily using. The boot time is now about twice longer, I noticed that with the new PSU before I put in the vid card.

I usually never install the drivers on the CD when it comes to hardware (unless I have to), I usually just download them from the website. The Nvidia drivers worked perfect, no problems with the DVI connectors, and I do have adapters to go to HDMI and VGA.

I ran TF2 a minute ago, turned on EVERYTHING (bloom, motion blur, etc) and I was getting 60 fps on the busiest scenes with everything happening. I don't see why I need any higher, that works awesome. BTW, I am using a PCI 2.0 card on the PCI 1.0 mobo, and no problems.

On a side note, I disabled my mouse's pointer precision. Anyone else doing thing/not doing this? I can see how it's helping me, especially as soldier, demo, and sniper. It's basically cleaning up my hand movements and making all the in-game movement in sync with how I'm actually moving my hand.

    It's been a good day.

Per mouse acceleration, it takes more than just turning off pointer precision. I just created a post about this yesterday:

I actually read your post, Agua, thanks! I'm gonna try this system for a little while and possibly delete the registry setting later. I can already feel the difference in-game. It doesn't seem like TF2 turns acceleration back on.

Omega, how much will those cmds set my framerate back? How many of those are you using?

I am using all of them and I don't notice a frame rate decrease because I am on an overclocked gtx 260 with vsync on.
