And to imply Explorer is flawless is silly as well.
Fine, then add bento because dells come with a free personal database.

If I am wrong tell me, but Bento has yet to be described to me in an intelligent manner. All it says on it's website is that inane shit macfags eat up.
In the world of major databases, you'll think of Oracle, Informix, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL. There's another that's semi-popular if only because it's been on macs for over a decade and was used heavily in schools.
Filemaker Pro (now) has two pieces - server and desktop. You don't need the server to share a database between people - a single desktop version can share it to 3-5 people (schools/small offices are still the target audience). The point of the application is forms - build a form that lets you add customer information to the DB and another form that ties those customers to purchases, but in a way that's easy enough for a sales associate to launch the app, maintain the form and add the data. The server piece allows for SQL queries and the like from other applications but it tries to push its own interface by publishing the same forms you use in the desktop version as webforms. It's got more overhead than other DB solutions, can be slower, but does have a few features that are nice.
Bento is the 'lite' version of the desktop app - not as many features (form scripts) and a lot of pre-loaded content (e.g. a database and forms that just require you to add your DVD collection titles to, or a database and forms that you add your contacts to). Targeted at people that don't know what a DB is, but want to organize things.

They did the same thing with Floppy disks, declaring the format dead before it had actually died, because CD-R's had begun dropping in price. They're pulling the trigger even faster now with HTML 5 more than a year out from common adoption, let alone major usage. It's silly, shortsighted, and a huge gamble. Apple is banking on their 'cool' factor to get them through - it worked with the iPod and iPhone, but the iPad is a different story.
And you're right, when Steve retires the company will be in huge trouble. Hopefully they can find someone to take over that has that same singular vision (Jonathan Ive?), or they're hosed.

Now I see a problem when Macs gain more than 20% of the market share after capturing a part of the gaming clique and everybody realizes that OSX is about the least secure operating systems there is.

That's the one cliche I forgot to mention above - Macs have no viruses because they're too small a market. Thanks for reminding me.
    Also, 0/10.

I'm just realizing now though that Valve said April for the releases, and I forgot to add Valve time to my expectations.

If macs are so secure then why does this happen every time they put the security up against other operating systems? I bet you are one of those people who thinks that Antarctica has the best military because they have suffered the least attacks of any other country.

I never said Macs are 'the big iron', impenetrable by hackers like 'zero cool'. Though there would have been more recent examples you could have linked (including last years P2O phone contest), like the root kit from last year, the keyboard firmware exploit, etc.
I was just saying I just forgot to mention a cliche earlier that your post reminded me of; that of mac security not being the reason it isn't targeted as a platform (with the country bumpkin/no-nothing hipster users that everyone seems to think make up mac users), but rather market penetration.

Also, Antarctica does have the best army: http://adweek.blogs.com/photos/uncat...rowildlife.jpg
