One dedicated player should be more valuable than hundreds of other players who don't give a shit
i think its a good idea (to decrease server load) to use that program that plays mp3s aned wavs as if over the mic, but not actually over the mic... i honestly cant remember the name of it...
hlss or something i think it was. It showed it coming from ur mic but it didn't.
yeah, it used the same port and sound device as your mic.
cruelty brought thee orchids by Cradle of Filth. its a great song., and i think id b great 2 hear sum of my fav music while playin a game. though i doubt thatd happen cuz i doubt u guyz cud handle my type of music...im not a big fan of game music though i liked halo,s and the original doom's
we should just make a winamp plugin that is just like HLSS but the title could be "SOURCEOP's SPECIAL SECRET WINAMP PLUGIN THAT DEFINATELY ISNT HLSS CHEAPLY PORTED INTO A WINAMP PLUGIN, BUT NOW YOUR SUSPICIOUS BY READING THIS TITLE SO YOUR PROBABLY GOING INVESTIGATE THE CODE ANYWAY! SO WHY DID WE MAKE THE TITLE SO LONG?"
Hi all,
I was playing on a server called NAD (Nasty and Dangerous) and apart from really odd slaying rules there were sounds.
Now these sounds were played when typing certain words, like hi, LOL and gg.
How about that ?
And I would not like to listen to any thrash/death/goth metal songs.

the sound system where it played words that were commonly typed was the origional adminOP way, i think the reason it wasnt popular was the fact that the origionall TFC/HalfLife didnt have MP3 support, so you had to record all of your sounds into bulky wave sounds, which gave you options such as high-quality variable playback speeds and pitch, but was a HUGE hinderence on the bandwidth of the server due to the fact that a 1-2 second sound was over a megabyte.
i honestly think we should invest our time into making a system like this with MP3 sound-files, eliminating the download bandwidth problems. the only problem i could forsee with this though, is that when you adjust the speed of an mp3, it stretches it out and makes it sound uber-choppy.
hmmm my point proven. too much talent for you 2 handle i guess reddragon lol jk....
