Just pointing our they never mentioned FREE add-on.
I would hate to have to pay to play a campaign to play with both new/old survivors.

Thanks.
It Definately wont be free on xbox thats a given, but no doubt if it isn't on PC then this might envoke some more rage towards valve.
I know, it would be like trying to release some shitty expansion for the first game instead of a real sequil.
I do wonder how there going to change the game to be suited too 8 player teams for the add-on, that is if they were too keep exactly to what they said and have all 8 survivors together.
When I read it I didnt get the impression that the L4D1 crew would be playable.
Furthermore I think its hilarious anyone would expect this game expansion to be free.
If it ends up a pay add-on; my biggest complaint will be the fact that it will include major storyline plot ie... "The Passing will become the most important campaign in the Left 4 Dead story" tho I already own both games and not privy to the content.
Note tho they didn't say either-way. Maybe free to owners of both previous versions?
Thanks.
It sounds like the article just used the word add-on when they meant DLC. I'm sure it will cost money.
I'm sure it will be free for pc users and cost money for console users because consoles suck. Ok and because Microsoft wont let them put it up unless it will make money. The only "expansion" literally meaning an expansion that I've seen is lost coast. And is there anyone in the world that liked lost coast? Maybe this will be left 4 dead 3.
Lost coast wasn't an expansion, it was the first wide-spectrum tech demo to display and test the High Dynamic Range lighting system on a broad spectrum of hardware that would have been near impossible without it.
l4d1 guys wont be playable
but still, cool
