im getting a new graphics card, and i can't decide which is better
its between this
GeForce 9500GT 1 GB DDR2 PCI-E 2.0 Graphics Card
Interface Type: PCI Express 2.0 x16
Video Memory Installed: 1 GB
or
XLR8 9800 GT 512 MB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card
my specs AMD Athlon ™ 64 X2 Dual core processor 6000+ 3.00 GHz
3g Ram
32bit vista
8600 geforce vcard
looking around the 80-120$ range

the one with 512 gddr3 is better.
but for the love of god just throw in the extra 30$ for the gtx260 (which outperforms the GX2's)
You even save money in the long run:

i agree, skip the 9 series.
i heard nvidia was going to rebrand all of its cards? the way they are now is a marketing clusterfuck

The names of the cards always confuse me. It's like nvidia is going backwards in time
that said, ati isn't doing much better, I really can't understand their naming system.

the thing that defines this is your PSU and you didn't post your specs on that.
