Uber hogs

Hopefully the people who were doing this earlier read these forums. With the plethora of demomen playing Goldrush at any given time, there's risen a problem of certain ones trying to hog the uber, usually kritz. I just want to say that you can stfu because I'm going to uber who I think will utilize it the best at the time. Someone had the nerve to say "Whichever demo calls for medic first should get the kritz. Let's go with that system." I'm not your fucking puppy dog trained to your command, I'll give it to whoever the fuck I choose. Squish Puddin was hogging it at the time, but I had no problem with that because he performed to deserve it. Mup.sys is extremely guilty of hogging medics, and yeah he's good, but dear God the guy needs to learn some fucking manners. I have a name to use, it's not "Hey medic".

Maybe people would play medic more if other players didn't DEMAND they get ubered. Admittedly it's totally awesome to build an uber with someone in an attic or something and then let them charge ahead while I run the other way because they were being douches and then they get slaughtered. And then they're all "wtf?" and I'm just like "oops lag lulz"

Yeah when I am medic I always don't heal the idiots that blow themselves up just to get to a closed gate faster during warmup. They stop it after a couple times of only having a few HP left when the gates go down.

But I know what you mean, whenever I play medic I typically give ubers to people who ask for them over the mic. Though, I can't stand medics who give ubers to players who don't have a clue its coming...such a waste.

Goldrush does seem to have an issue with this. I was playing over there the other day with a bunch of wanna-be-pubstar-demos and by the time I hit 98% I was getting yelled at, too.

I'm not stressing over it, obviously, but I will deliberately NOT give my kritz to anyone who yells at me, acts obnoxious, spams the medic key incessantly or generally acts like an idiot/ass.

It's my uber/krtiz and I'll do with it what I please. Hell-met makes a good point; I like giving everyone a chance. It's fun to krtiz people you've never seen before and see what they can do or just give someone at the bottom of the scoreboard a higher chance of getting some kills. Sometimes it's fun to take a krtized-pyro through a tunnel or behind the opposing team. A good scout can own with the kritz and it can be pretty funny to try to keep up with him and dodge bullets yourself.

I have also played medic enough to know when is and is not a good time to deploy my kritz. If I'm trying to get a heal, use the dispenser, run for a med-pac, etc. and you're screaming at me to kritz you and run into the line of fire with 30hp, you're probably going to find yourself alone and feeling foolish.

The general attitude on Goldrush does often lean towards demos thinking medics are their personal heal-and-kritz-bots; much more so than on the other servers, at least.
