Motorhead, Reverend Horton Heat opened for them and were actually better imo. Lemmy didn't even seem like he wanted to be there and yelled at a couple roadies cause they were fiddling with the sound system.

Some asshole splashed me with a beer that was about 2/3 full and we blew a tire out on the way back. Shit sucked.

I'll try to answer any questions you might have but are unsure of who/where to ask otherwise. The wiki guide and the Steam sticky post are awesome for getting the ball rolling, but there's much more after that.

My initial words of advice are these: There are insane players of the likes most SourceOP regulars have not seen and entire teams of them. Pace yourself and don't get discouraged if you get rolled by them, they too started out where you are right now. Comp TF2 is like a brand new game, it can be tremendously fun as long as you keep perspective.
This, pretty much. I'd like to think of myself as a fairly (okay, very) good TF 2 player. We scrimmed this fella and his boys yesterday. My asshole has never hurt so bad in my life. It was painful, yet pleasurable at the same time. If you look at the positives, you will enjoy getting rolled. You learn from getting beat on, and losing makes you a better player, even moreso than winning does.

sorry to hear about your experience, but i also saw motorhead with reverend horton heat opening....it was fucking awesome But i also got a beer pitched at me while Galaxy 500 was playing. We almost got thrown out for starting a fight with the guy, but they tossed him out and let us stay. Awesome time.

This is one of the most idiotic things a musician can do. Don't fuck with the person who makes you sound good. It's not good policy.

What's worse is when drunks hover around your console, tell you how to mix, and spill beer on your gear. Hasn't happened to me yet, but I've heard stories from friends.

One positive thing I forgot to mention about the concert is that one of my friends caught Reverend Horton Heat's guitar pick which was probably the most awesome part of the night. Forgot to grab a picture of it though.
