i used the idler for about an hour when it first came out, decided it was unnecessary and never worried about it again. I come back in and suddenly i'm flagged as a "cheater". Especially since at no time did i ever recieve any warning not to idle. Valve blows.

what part about being idle is cheating? Using external programs to have in-game advantages is cheating. Sitting idle in a fake server to get aesthetics is not "cheating"

it's putting forth the same amount of effort as people sitting in valve approved achievement idle servers. It's not idling they care about, its the third party app.
