    Old school music

I like a lot of old tunes and not much of what they call music these days

If you liked NWA I'm pretty sure you will like these guys for. They were very similar but more hardcore and from Houston.Geto Boys

Feedback and or more old bands / links would be nice thx

I hate to be technical but yes they are old.Active from 1986 to 1991, the group endured controversy due to the explicit nature of their lyrics. http://www.nwaworld.com/

I like old music anyways I wont even listen to anything past like the late 90's heh

I agree that new rap is mostly terrible. I love early 90s stuff; Biggie, Pac, Nas. I like some old school stuff but some is meh. I didn't know the Geto Boys were old school. I just remember them from Office Space. They did "Die Motherfucker Die" that Michael Bolton is jammin out to when he locks his doors at the beginning of the flick and of course, "Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangsta" I love a few select old school songs; Rapper's Delight, The Message, Mona Lisa, stuff like that.

Check out SKYE FM on Winamp Shoutcast radio. Search by genre -> old school. Love it.

2pac is hands down the best rapper that ever lived in my book, but that's just me. I used to use him as my avatar all the time, guess it's time to change up again

Rap/hip-hop died in 96/97 and it never came back.

Shits too commercialized now, before you had the mainstream and the not so mainstream that was real but sold well. Now you have complete opposites, you have mainsteam/underground. No one in the hip-hop game can even be popular unless they sell out.
