I'm Another Arena player.
Can you guys consider putting in a solid mapvoter? atleast nomination would be nice (make it high end if you do, i don't like the idea of changing too often)
Please, please...
Please no more crits. Arena would be perfect.
The mortals would look up at the glory of the no-crit arena server and ask to themselves "but whom beheethed this masterpiece?" The regulars would then point out to the lost souls, "has thou not heard? It was drunk_f00l who brought the flame to man!" and they would know, and they would come, and they would bring money.
No, they would throw a bitch-fit because something was different.
Can't there be a vote at the beginning of the round asking if they they want crits or not? This is something a lot of regs desperately want.
edit:
More logical reasoning to this would be that the reason crits exist in the first place does not apply to arena. It was designed so that people would have amazing killing sprees, feel really good, and the people that died to the crits would just shrug it off, respawn, and charge back at them. This faults at only stage two; people cant shrug off a random crits death in arena because they're stuck with the consequences of an ill-thought system. I honestly believe that after the initial shock value wore off even the most common village folk would love this change.
krits were actually implemented because it makes the game more fun for a broader spectrum of players to have the game less skill-based.
Still ruins arena.

I actually honed my skills in the 80s on the C64. However, advancing years has robbed me of my speed and stamina.Originally Posted by Hell-met

Ugh, for the love of god. Every-other-day (at least) there is some huge discussion about removing the random crits from arena. This topic has existed for months now. No one has been able to provide a proper counter-argument as to why it should stay. And, as far as I know, removing it is as simple as changing a single boolean value in the config file.
Can we please do away with this system? Come on, drunken.![]()
