I don't know why the flame bucket discussion degraded into a serious debate but it would probably be better brought up here.

Make teams scramble after 2-3 straight wins on a map instead of moving to the next map, essentially adopting arena standards.

I just realized that if teams are stacked on any map its a pretty good indicator after three wins in a row on any non-arena map (except hydro as you have to win each set of maps four times which is nigh impossible in 30 minutes).

The only reason no one bitched about the stupid logic of ending a map before the 30 minutes timespan was because they just got slaughtered 4 times in a row and were looking forward to a team scramble, NOT the map change.

Keep the same map and scramble teams. This way someone's favorite map won't end prematurely.

Also 3 games in non-arena are usually MUCH longer than arena, so it won't be as "bad" (if you think scrambling is bad) and only has the potential to happen maybe twice each map.

And as I mentioned the typical argument for this is that "I want to be on my friend's team wahhhhh" which I honestly have no argument for except that I still seem to have a fantastic time with friends on arena despite constant scrambles.

Listen Df, I was just on Maps 1 and we got through with Badlands (a great fucking map) with 25 minutes left on the server.

    25 fucking minutes.

That means we won four times in 5 minutes and switched to goldrush.

Stop punishing the map cycle because of stacking, just change four wins for map change to two wins = scramble. PLEASE

Point still stands. Map ended 25 minutes before it should have only because of stacking

i am still completely against !scramble in any form.

if the problem you are putting foward is:

"good" maps dont get equal playtime as "crappy" maps because on "good" maps everyone stacks to 4 wins and map-change

i think there are ways to resolve that issue without adding a scramble "feature"

This is true, though it has less to do with 'good' or 'bad' since it's all subjective. I don't understand the logic of ending a map early if teams happen to be that stacked.

If the goal of this was to have a team scramble in the new map since one team got throttled four times, then you don't even need to change maps, just scramble teams.

If that wasn't the case-- I would say a simple solution would be to not change maps at all and allow the stacking to continue but I honestly would rather the map change for an inadvertant scramble of teams than continual stacking.

I can't understand how anyone can enjoy slaughtering a team more than a couple times and I know nobody enjoys being on the oposite side of it.

I think scramble would be pointless; the stackers are going to make the effort to switch back no matter what. Last night I was playing on the "stacked" team (several regulars were on) and we happened to end up losing a round, but right before we did I saw Karla Marx switch teams, not autobalanced, she outright switched to get the winning team points. It didn't matter that the good players were on the team, people who stack just want points and are going to switch at the first opportune moment to get them. Generally that's why I don't go for the "playing with friends" crap because when I see stacking on Goldrush, it's people jumping on the team with most points regardless of what regulars got put on the losing team. If it's unclear who is winning a round, they sit in the lobby until it can be determined.

If you're actually losing rounds its not stacked. I'm talking about games where you demolish the other team with no chance of losing.

And then it skips the map instead of scramble.
