I don't know why the flame bucket discussion degraded into a serious debate but it would probably be better brought up here.
Make teams scramble after 2-3 straight wins on a map instead of moving to the next map, essentially adopting arena standards.
I just realized that if teams are stacked on any map its a pretty good indicator after three wins in a row on any non-arena map (except hydro as you have to win each set of maps four times which is nigh impossible in 30 minutes).
The only reason no one bitched about the stupid logic of ending a map before the 30 minutes timespan was because they just got slaughtered 4 times in a row and were looking forward to a team scramble, NOT the map change.
Keep the same map and scramble teams. This way someone's favorite map won't end prematurely.
Also 3 games in non-arena are usually MUCH longer than arena, so it won't be as "bad" (if you think scrambling is bad) and only has the potential to happen maybe twice each map.
And as I mentioned the typical argument for this is that "I want to be on my friend's team wahhhhh" which I honestly have no argument for except that I still seem to have a fantastic time with friends on arena despite constant scrambles.
