OMG NO! look at heavies shadow! ITS A SPY!!!
i always apologize to my medic if something i did directly got them killed, especially if i'm still alive afterwards.
tho if a medic does something stupid and kills themself, i'll just laugh at them.
alot of medics don't understand thisOriginally Posted by Reynolds
also as a medic, I run through people. If you pass through them they are friendly, if you get blocked they are a spy. An easy way to spy check, but only if you are running towards them, or if they are backing up.
Yep thats how I spycheck alot of people too, run through the crowd overhealing everyone (it only takes a second) and if you bump into someone you'd better pull out your ubersaw and whale away on them.
LOL great pic! good post. Spastic medics running all over are sometimes too wiggly to stab so i stab their healee and then always turn around and run backwards so the medic can appreciate the laugh. Dam them needle guns.Originally Posted by Versed
I just don't like how a medic will be more worried about an uber than 3 team members around him with 1-5 HP left. That really drives a nail through me.
Instead of it only being up to the person being healed. The medic should use their mic equally as much...Originally Posted by Reynolds
But meh...only in a perfect world.
So yeah...
Yeah, perfect world, everyone would be on a mic, and it wouldn't devolve into not being able to hear anything because 5 people are talking at once.Originally Posted by Half-Duplex

Fact is, after 9-10 hours at work, often having to deal with gamers a fair bit of the day, I know that I a) Don't want to sit around in a headset b) Will probably start spewing obscenities when totally stupid/clueless shit happens, and c) probably be a total ass in correcting people when they say things that are just plain wrong.
I figure this is probably true (or similar) for others too, so I'll only hate on the people actively using a mic but not using it when something important is happening in game. I mean, if I hear you talk about your enchillada's and the explosive gas they gave you, I'm going to have that expectation that you can do something like call for uber, or say "gtfo shit is coming". If someone is silent, I don't have that expectation, so I'm working on picking up whatever slack I feel I need to in evaluating a situation (which results in random crit to the face, random body shot as I peak around a corner etc).
/really not trying to be a hypocrite here, honest. I know people WITH mics get just as pissed off at people without mics (or those that just don't wear em like me).
/it's about the expectation though, in the heat of the moment.
