I have small hands (child-sized even) so I need gaming setups that don't require large stretching of the fingers and the mouse can't be too large or bulky or have additional buttons in places I can't reach. lol

I just like having everything at the tips of my fingers.

I'm with a g15, g5 here too. The thing is I had to find the old g5 when I bought mine because I really hate how the newer one looks (the blue veiny look). As for the optimus keyboard, that really would be a dream to play with.

I use a Razer Lachesis and a Saitek Eclipse keyboard. Nothing's ever worked better for me.

Speed Pad? But is it really faster? Really? Honestly, it just looks like more high end overhyped "gaming" crap like this stuff: http://www.eseamarket.com/index.php?...category&id=13

It's not really supposed to be faster. It supposed to help you while gaming so you don't have to stretch your fingers every which way just to do what you need. It's quite useful, actually.

Don't knock it til you try it

Wow, that nostromo n50 is anchient, i have one around somewhere, i never really used it though. Ive got a g15 aswell. One of the old ones with a blue backlight and folding screen (wtf were they thinking with orange!).

I dont really use the macro keys though, only for a few chat macros in some games and a couple automated macros so i can leave some things working over night.

All these pads and whatnot with extra keys are kinda useless for me, i can easily reach enough keys with one hand, even in WoW and Everquest II, with god knows how many keybinds, and my hands arent even big I got the keyboard mostly for the backlit keys, the screen, and it was on sale. I got a second monitor now though so the litte screen is pretty useless aswell.

Got a g5 aswell, again, it was on sale and was the only mouse i could find that had over 800dpi that:
Wasnt labeled "ZOMG UBER GAYMIN MOUSE"
Didnt have a shape that no natural human hand could fit around
Didnt cost a fuckton of money

Didnt get it for the extra buttons. I do use the extra buttons mouse buttons in left 4 dead though.... bind mouse4 "vocalize spotpills"

Even though I haven't tried one of these pads, I've always used my mouse buttons more for shortcuts than keyboard keys.

I also have the G15 and use just about every key on all 3 sets it has available. What's frustrating about it though is that I either have to use the keys that are easily reached or completely remap the macro keys to replace the keyboard.

I think I'd much more prefer to have all of my keys in one location and on one device instead of having to move from one side of the keyboard to the next. The only reason I'm quick at accessing things on the keyboard for games is because you get used to stretching your fingers but I don't think it's the most efficient.

Hopefully some day I'll be able to check one of these out and I'll like it. Or I won't and I'll send it to Canada so Hell-met can have one.

They're really cheap if you know where to look.
