BBQ'em for Admin...

Hey guys... On the 24/7 2fort [No Mods][No BS] server, I think BBQ'em should be an admin... He's one of the few who gets games going and gets good players to come in there... A LOT... Every now and then we have players who need an admin ban, not a votekick or voteban.... BBQ'em has good judgement in year or two I've known him.

He knows his shit.
Loves teamplay.
Is good for the game.

Is it possible you guys could give him some admin privileges? It would be helpful. Kick, ban.. Maybe even things like control all talk? (even though we'd rarely use it).

If you guys would like some help with the 2fort server, I am willing. DF, when he's around, has been the one to respond when we've been stuck with cheaters, griefers and such. And what happened to teamkick? It seems to be disabled now.

I am an admin in Drinkin Buddies [dBs] clan http://steamcommunity.com/groups/alldayhappyhour along with sunkistadora, frankster, mr.plow, ringleader, and nipsey russell. You could check with them if you would like references.

I have admin on a few tf2 servers and have often used the sourceop tf2 server to host dBs Saturday night fun fights and it's true that I have over 115 days of playtime on sourceop 2fort regular. I find that if I can get a dozen or so people on the server, it tends to fill up pretty quickly.

It's sad to see what's happened to that server. Years ago, it used to be one of the most popular 2fort servers on the net. Then I guess the servers were moved to new hosting and the server had lots of problem and was very laggy. People started drifting away and found other places to play. The server seems to work ok now - judging from the Saturday night events I've gotten going there - but it has lost its following.

Many people ended up playing on Lotus but they always have plenty of trolls and griefers and non-team players. A recent change in steam server policy has resulted in all the Lotus 32 player servers being set for only 24 players, so people are looking for somewhere else to play. It might be an opportunity for a sourceop 2fort revival.

The NoBS 2Fort server is rarely populated (~3 hour window of ~20 players per day for the last week or so; the rest of February not so much), to the point where I don't think it has regulars, admin or not.

We've had a few full games on SourceOP 2Fort in the last few weeks ONLY with the help of BBQ getting invites out there, bringing in a mixture of old and new players. I actually had to wait on auto-join. With more active admins, especially adding BBQ to the team, I think you would definitely see a rise in players.

He's a solid candidate if you're looking for more admins. Just yesterday I was playing with him and someone he helped learn the game recognised him and thanked him for teaching them a lot of tricks of the game more than a couple years ago, on SourceOP 2Fort nonetheless. Any game he joins, more than a few are sure to follow.
