I dunno. I don't see how they can compensate for network latency if it's just a video stream.
I don't see how. It takes longer to get to my ISP. They must have some kind of tricks. I'm curious.Rearden Studios claims that its servers will deliver video feeds that have a ping of less than one millisecond.
Too bad in places like Canada, where monthly data usage is capped at 60-95GB, people that game a lot may find themselves using too much data too fast, and subsequently won't be able to use this new technology.
I'm very skeptical of this also.

I don't know jack about technology but this seems too good to be true
/g/ has been all over this for the last week. We have found:
There is going to an input lag of at least 150ms (that is from when you press a button on the controller to when he reacts)
The video is going to have to be compressed to shit, probably looking worse than youtube.
You won't actually own any of the games in any way, and won't be able to mod them. You are fucked without your internet connection..
It is already looking to be expensive as shit (more than upgrading your PC anyway, expensive) seeing as you have both a high monthly fee AND have to pay full price for the games. (i will continue to enjoy throwing a video card in my machine every 2-3 years for 160$)
/sarcasm
This sounds like the absolute worst idea someone has ever come up with while drunk.
I BUY WHERE MONEY NOW YES?
not sure about the idea being bad....shitty pcs playing games at full graphical capabilities with no lag and even having console games available too is a winner of an idea...although as the mythbusters say possible but not plausible to run it as they claim it will run would cost more than just upgrading your pc, or it will run exactly the way OZA says. Must say i had my hopes up when i read the title, i thought they found a way to let console gamers play with us :/Originally Posted by Redneck
