I think you need to re-read my post. I never indicated I had any issues with rendering a web page. I prefer that all forums I visit to follow the same page layout. I personally prefer to scroll north to south and not north to south and then west to east. Tapatalk cleans all of that up and puts the "website" into more of an RSS feed layout.
Ideally there is an option to limit the popup. Unsure why literally thousands of forums use the plugin if the pop up is turning off their readers.
I will go to the tapatalk help desk and find out the issue with the pop up for nonusers. I placed one link below. Not for this site but it appears it can be an issue and their response was pretty timely to have a fix. If needed I'll beat them up privately for a fix for vbulletin sites if one does not exist.

If that's a big enough reason for the site not to go that route I can live with it. I think the new foot traffic and better browsing experience would offset the very small number of mobile users that would be turned off from it. From the responses here most users are on desktops from the issues with the themes. In regards to a pop up blocker installing stopping the pop up I commend you for keeping the ad revenue from being impacted on the site. Truth is that probably 98% of the traffic to the site have some sort of pop up blocker enabled.
Everyone should bust out $5 and enjoy the free flowing text of this site....It'll be the best $5 you ever spent.
