    Loading times between 2 computers

So i have a laptop highly specced and so does my friend, exact same laptop and everything.

he brought his laptop to my house and we were sitting next to each other, using the same internet.

so we launch mw3 and he loads into a map way faster than me, and sometimes, i lose connection to host and hes not lagging at all. wtf?

both laptops have same ram, same wireless adaptor, same cpu, gpu, everything. i even tried defragging the game in steam but didnt work, tried updating the gpu driver too.

any other suggestions? the only thing i could think of is that i had mw3 on my old pc and copied that to my new laptop via harddrive and just copied that to steamapps. is a redownload worth a shot?

tl:dr, me and a mate have exact same computer, his loads faster and sometimes mine loses connection to the game.

cheers and sorry for the long read.

Defrag, make sure you don't have any large (or a large amount) of background processes. Make sure the overhead on your antivirus isn't shit, or that you aren't stacking AV's.

nevermind, had the power setting on power saver which restricted the cpu and ram and internet....
