    Help Math Geeks

I think I have it figured out but at the same time it's not making sense when I get to the end number.

Basically I'm trying to figure out the total number of choices you can make. Here's a picture that will either help you or confuse you.

I think it's as simple as doing 6 x 5 x 6 x 5. This equals out to 900 but there seems to be something missing and 900 looks a bit small compared to what I figured.

Since I don't know if I completely made it clear what I am trying to do I'll give an example.

If you take 1 from the first column, 1 from the second, 1 from the third and 1 from the last that will equal one choice.

Then if you repeat the above but in the fourth table choose 2 that's 2 choices, and so on and so on.

Help would be great if anyone knows anything. Thanks!

The answer is 6x5x6x5 just like you said assuming you can't mix the columns or anything crazy like that.

Nope, just trying to find out how many total choices you can make in all. Still it seems like 900 choices is too small but I guess it's right.

Think if each column had 10 choices (0-9). You'd have 10,000 choices doing the multiplication (0000-9999). Makes sense, right?
