QUICKSELLS ONLY NOT PAYING YOUR B/O OR CLOSE TO IT

bud owners in a nuthsell. when will this stop?

why do they expect to get quicksales served to them on a silver platter? they expect I quote
I'm posting this trade for PROFIT of at least 30-50%, not to keep a hat.
When someone is quickselling a hat for that low he will just make a thread on tf2outpost, tf2tp or here or sell it on a trade server. Not browse through the mass of "quicksell only" threads. Correct me if I am wrong.

I understand that you want to make profit. I mean not everybody can just instantly buy an unusual but if I see people with 20 or 40 buds begging for quicksales I just feel like killing them.

My problem with this is the bud owners are too lazy to find good deals on their own, they request people coming to beg to them so the buds owners can make easy profit.

This is one of the many reasons I'm quitting.

Jep. When I was still new at trading I made a thread like this too since it seems to be what everybody was doing. Understandable everybody offered me over or his buyout. In the end I bought a quicksale but by browsing through the threads on tf2tp. People seem to think that sitting on your fat ass and let your thread autobump will get you great deals.

its easy and simple, people that have alot of buds, want cheap unusuals, that are worth more than theyre paying, so they can after resell the good unusuals they got cheap and resell them for profit, nothing complicated about it, greed will get the best of us,

Everyone knows this, and it didn't need to be explained. No one said it was complicated. All anybody is commenting on is how ridiculous it is for those who own buds to expect profit virtually being handed to them.

Then when they go to sell it, they demand the same respect afforded to someone who is selling a beloved unusual they wore for a year.

I fight the urge to troll their threads, give them the same piece of shit attitude they gave the original owner when they semi-sharked it in the first place.

Not all for-profit traders are like this, of course, most provide a valuable service by dealing with the morons, and selling to me with professional courtesy.

Personally I'd love to meet the person who started the "hurpa derpa I'm buying quicksells only: at 70% off your market price" threads....Needs a smack in the teeth. All the retards now think its the cool thing to do, and the worst thing is that half the market actually ends up supporting it by quickselling items to them, and providing them with the illusion that they can hurl abuse and lowball without consequences.

i know it did not need to be explained, but i felt like repeating it, because some people dont understand and are totally uninformed about this,

and yes i agree, it is funny and ridiculous on how low people will buy unusuals, like they are desperate for profit.

    that is all.

Well I will try to provide both sides of the equation. First, lets admit that the vast majority of traders here and on tf2 have tried to make a profit. I know cuz I've dealt with many of you and have spend inordinate amounts of times lookin at tf2outpost, tf2tp and tf2items browsing around and seeing what you actually paid for the shit you're trying to peddle. With the very nature of the mannconomy, some will make the profits and some will lose out in value.

I"ll start from the vantage point of the bud seller. There is about 100,000 buds, 200,00 bills and 10,000 max heads total in tf2. stats.tf2finance.com There is about 50,000 unusuals.

At first glance, it would seem there is way more promos than unusuals. However, the average price of an unusual I'd hazard a guess at is 10 . Stuff like flames tc's and cloudy moon samureyes driving up the average price. Thus you have to say something along the lines of 500,000 in promos would be needed to cover the spread.

Even if you go with a lower number and assume the average price of an unusual is 5, that's still 250,000 in promos to cover every unusual. There would seem to be about balance with the number . YET, the vast majority of buds belong to a small set of owners. In backpacks with buds/bills, max heads, most (80%+) only have 1 bud or 1 bill with only 10% of the population even having 1.

So we're talking about a small set of people here with multiple buds. Of those people, how many want to spend it paying buyout on a stormy carouser? Most buds that are horded are intended for profit as they are HARD to get. Some spend actual money on buds, while others spend alot of time.

So yeah, when I do post "I'm not paying buyout" its due to the fact that I'm compensating myself for the time/work spent getting multiple buds/max/bills etc. Many unusuals are got by spending a few keys. Moreover, of all the owners of multiple buds, how many want your unusual? Of them, how many want to be nearly stuck with it? Of them, how many want it at this particular time?

If your unusual isn't something that is especially sexy, you don't have much leverage to hold to a certain price when, lo and behold, 5 more of your unusual are for trade.
