hehe thanks guys
Yesterday I lost my blizzard kabuto and purple energy pyromancer.
Today I won them both back off the same guy plus another 3 unusuals.
Was down 2 to 1 in our 3 spycrab matches and made a comeback to win all 3.
Good times

When I started crabbing I lost a ton of craft hats, then i decided to crab a Bill's, I won. So next day I wanted to crab another Bill's, lost. Never gave it another shot.

I've still got 7 pure buds and another 20 or so in unusuals. If anyone is interested in spycrabbing against all of it in one go, let me know.
How does spy crabbing work exactly? I've heard it mentioned alot but I don't know much about it.

Everytime you do the disguise kit taunt there is a one in six chance you will not throw a cigarette but instead do a spycrab taunt.
First to three spycrabs LOSES.
Personally, I think it's a terrible way to gamble. RNG is impossible for a computer to do, instead it takes a milisecond off the clock. Trends rule heavily, as you will see, against all arguements of that being a gambler's fallacy.
Furthermore, gambling is a dangerous addiction and hitting rock bottom can cost you more than your items. Reputable traders have been known to turn to scamming to feed that addiction, but in the end, gamblers play until they lose everything.
Personally, I couldn't imagine setting up for a crab. Obviously, you need a middleman, since there are many Steamrep threads about people not paying on a spycrab. But how do you bet your hat against another of equal value? Why not just trade?
I have always paid on every spycrab. Even without a middleman. For the larger ones, I prefer to use a mm and I tip well too most of the time. I tipped a bills hat after winning 5 buds the other day.
I the reason why I prefer spycrabbing to trading is because the hats don't really mean much to me. It's either crab up to 200 buds and cash out or lose everything. Either way us fine because winning 200 buds is little money and so is losing the items I have.
