considering that the most people that i met, that couldn't read trade descriptions were natives speakers, that might be the better course of actionOriginally Posted by Wumba

You have to be aware that new traders and casual players do exist and have no idea about the values of items. He might have just viewed it as a regular hat not knowing what it was worth.Originally Posted by hamie96
outpost is full of retards who spam ur trades with useless shit and lowball
thats a big assumption, not everyone is lowballing, if they do, well so be it, just say no thank you, its big traders who know value that lowball that pisses me off, cuz there trying to fuck u over, and buy low and resell 2x higher, thats just sneaky
Why on earth would anyone try to make a profit out of hat trading?Originally Posted by ChaosGoW
Unless you are ripping off noobs, the return on time spent is laughable. You'd be far better off getting a job/education/spending time trying to make the world a better place. Trade for stuff you want, not stuff you hate but think you can profit from.

No one trades hats to make a loss. It's always about profit. Sure, along the way if you're successful you might keep an unusual or two simply because you want to keep it, but the majority of traders unusual hats or otherwise trade to make profit.

TF2 is just a game, a game that I play to relax after work always has been and always will. I play it because I enjoy it, and I only trade for things I want. Might've meant I've "profited" less, and hell I've done my fair share of over paying. My last serious trade, smoking snaggle for a flies cowl... just because I couldn't be arsed trading the snaggle, and I wanted the cowl for a long time. He was happy, I was very happy, good deal if you ask me.
